So, we have every right to call the new NVIDIA chipset a leader here, as even the new i955X supports only 8 USB 2.0 ports. As for their actual speed, we resorted to AIDA32 utility and measured the bandwidth and CPU utilization during the data transfer to and from a USB 2.0 hard disk drive: Maxtor OneTouch 250GB.
As we see, USB 2.0 bus in NVIDIA nForce4 SLI (Intel Edition) chipset is quite normal, and when the data is transferred from the controller to the actual USB 2.0 device, NVIDIA chipset shows its best performance. <%BANNER[banner_468x30]%>
