Pariah

Pariah is rather an ordinary fantastic shooter, a bit resembling Halo, with a hackneyed plot but beautiful and complex visuals. The latter fact makes it a good benchmarking tool. The game is based on a modified Unreal Engine with various post-effects rendered with the help of pixel shaders.

The game obviously prefers graphics cards from ATI Technologies in low resolutions: the senior RADEON models are faster than the GeForce 7800 GTX even! In higher resolutions the G70-based products gain the lead, but the RADEON X850/X800 are still ahead of their market competitors. In its price category the GeForce 6600 GT is far ahead of the RADEON X700 PRO, the gap amounting to 30-35% in high resolutions. SLI technology ensures a colossal, nearly twofold performance gain.
