This car simulator has a fixed frame rate limiter set at 100fps. The game is indifferent to the number of pixel pipelines, but reacts most sensitively to the GPU clock rate. That’s why the GeForce 6600 GT has a better result than the GeForce 6800, even though the difference between them is only 4 fps in 1600x1200.
It is only the SLI configuration with two GeForce 7800 GTX cards that can reach the speed limit in high resolutions and with enabled full-screen antialiasing. The single GeForce 7800 GTX and the GeForce 6800 Ultra SLI platform have excellent results, too. The members of the RADEON X8 family are victorious among the less powerful products.
