Performance in First-Person 3D Shooters
Aliens vs. Predator
This game is benchmarked in DirectX 11 mode with the highest graphics quality settings.

Graphics cards like the Radeon HD 5670 or even Radeon HD 5750 are no good for playing Aliens vs. Predator. They are too slow to show anything other than a beautiful slideshow even at 1600x900.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Overclocking has a higher effect than 1 gigabyte of memory on the performance of the Axle Radeon HD 5670, making the game almost playable if it were not for the bottom speed which is below 20 fps. The Radeon HD 5750 and GeForce GT 240 are a better choice for playing at resolutions up to 1600x900, especially as you don’t have to overclock them. More advanced and expensive cards are needed to play comfortably at 1920x1080.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Unfortunately, the Radeon HD 5670 lacks in bottom speed and this deficiency can only be corrected by overclocking. The GeForce GT 240 doesn’t have to be overclocked but the Axle card is somewhat better than it at 1920x1080. You can play the game at that resolution if you don’t mind occasional slowdowns.
Crysis Warhead

The results of low-end cards in games with the Crysis engine have no practical worth, of course. However, we can note that the overclocked Axle is only second to the Radeon HD 5750. When not overclocked, it is comparable to the GeForce GT 240. The amount of graphics memory has but a negligible effect on performance here.
