NVIDIA has released high-performance high-margin GeForce 7800 GT and GTX graphics processors which offer advanced functionality and performance sufficient for majority of games. But there are people who would not like to pay $449 or $599 per graphics card and there is Holiday season coming, when all the users go on and spend their money. NVIDIA introduced its GeForce 6800 GS product which costs $249 and frequently manages to leave behind the GeForce 6800 GT in order to offer probably the best “bang for the buck” in 2005.

Age of Empires 3

Just like in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory , the ATI RADEON X800 XL works in the Shader Model 2.0 mode and delivers a lower-quality picture than graphics cards with support of Shader Model 3.0 do. As for the rest of the devices, NVIDIA is victorious once again, while the RADEON X1600 XT, belonging to the new generation of graphics cards from ATI Technologies, does not allow you to play this game with comfort even in 1024x768. We could not test Age of Empires 3 in 1600x1200 with enabled FSAA and anisotropic filtering due to problems with the image quality.
