Despite of not being the most highly-anticipated graphics processor of the year, the NV43, also known as the GeForce 6600, delivers just everything you would expect from a mainstream graphics card with some proof for the future: powerful architecture, support for Shader Model 3.0 and great thermal and power consumption characteristics. But how well does it perform in modern games?

Hitman: Contracts

It’s different in this game to what we have seen earlier. The RADEON 9800 XT is better than the GeForce 6600 GT here, but you should keep in mind the fact that we test these cards on two different platforms. Moreover, Hitman 3: Contracts is a heavy burden even for the GeForce 6800 GT. Overclocking the GeForce 6600 GT brings in a truly gargantuan performance gain!
