S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
Since we aim at getting maximum image quality, we tested this game with full dynamic lighting and maximum level of detail. This test mode also implies the use of HDR, so there is no FSAA support, at least in the current S.T.A.L.K.E.R. version. Since the game doesn’t look that appealing any more with static lighting and DirectX 8 effects, we only enabled anisotropic filtering here.
GeForce 8600 GTS performed pretty modestly here having performed at about the same level as Radeon X1950 Pro. In 1280x1024 the results are very unlikely to be that much higher, so you will either have to reduce the level of detail, namely the command, or to go with static lighting model, which goes easier on the graphics subsystem and allows using full-screen anti-aliasing.
