The third and the last demo scene was also created in our lab during the real game play. This time our virtual hero had to crawl through dark underground corridors using the gun to cool down a few especially annoying flying robots. There is also water in this record, namely a stream in the bottom of the drain canal, however, this stream is much smaller than in the previous demo, of course. The monsters and fellow allies were on the contrary more numerous this time, and they were moving really actively. Again GeForce FX appeared unable to compete with RADEON family. No doubt that the latter manages to cope with the new gaming engine much more successfully. I don’t see any causes for concern about its performance when the final version of the game finally comes out. :)

Not all performance issues can be solved by optimizing the software: this simple truth again gets proven in the diagrams above. However, nobody prohibits you to hope for higher performance at all. NVIDIA and the game developers may possibly find a way to optimize the gaming engine later on.
