Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness

This game reminds us of Splinter Cell, but the interesting thing about it is a great number of image quality settings it offers: you can adjust nearly everything. This can even confuse an unsophisticated user. As for us, we used the settings ensuring maximum graphics quality during the test.

Splinter Cell is very sensitive to the graphics chip frequency, while Tomb Raider, on the contrary, loves 8-pipeline architecture much more, which leads to the victory of RADEON 9500 PRO among the mainstream solutions. In the High-End segment the situation is more than clear: the laurels belong to RADEON 9800 XT/PRO working with the shader code very efficiently. The score of GeForce FX, however, turns out a disaster even despite the new compiler integrated into ForceWare 52.16.
