Quite a lot of people buy hardware and software to play with during the upcoming holidays late this month. Some buy consoles, some get new games, others acquire new graphics cards. This review will help you to choose between 9 premier graphics cards based on VPUs and GPUs from ATI and NVIDIA in 16 benchmarks representing performance in past, present and upcoming 3D games! In addition to benchmarks, we have market analysis for you.
F1 Challenge 99-02
This game is a Formula 1 racing simulator and we have already used it once in our testing (see our latest reviews in the Video section).of course, it is quite possible that we will replace it with a different more advanced auto-simulator game later, but this is just a plan so far.
For some unknown reasons all RADEON graphics cards are rarely exceeding 45 fps here and NVIDIA cards hardly overcome the 51 fps barrier. We should probably really think about the correctness of the results obtained in this gaming benchmark. Nevertheless, we clearly see that on the whole GeForce FX family seems to perform somewhat better in F1 Challenge 99-02 than the RADEON family.
