Quite a lot of people buy hardware and software to play with during the upcoming holidays late this month. Some buy consoles, some get new games, others acquire new graphics cards. This review will help you to choose between 9 premier graphics cards based on VPUs and GPUs from ATI and NVIDIA in 16 benchmarks representing performance in past, present and upcoming 3D games! In addition to benchmarks, we have market analysis for you.

Enabling the Eye Candy mode allows to slightly reduce the gap between GeForce FX and RADEON families: now the latter solutions do not fall that far behind the leaders. Moreover, the mainstream RADEON 9600 XT dashes forward and in 1600x1200 RADEON 9500 PRO outperforms it. The slower GeForce FX solutions surely roll back to the very end of the race.
Summing up the results obtained in X2 – The Treat we can see that GeForce FX is much better fit for this game. However, the gap between the GeForce and RADEON families is not dramatic enough to draw a definite conclusion once and for all.
