F1 Challenge 99-02

All the cards, except the RADEON 9600 XT, have their results cut short by a certain frame rate limiter in the 1024x768 resolution – it seems like the limiter cannot be disabled at all. In higher resolutions the cards move away from that barrier – all but the GeForce 6800 series that provide an exceptionally high performance here.

There’s more variegation in the “eye candy” mode but with no sensations: the GeForce 6800 Ultra is a bit faster than the RADEON X800 XT; the GeForce 6800 GT matches the performance of the same RADEON, outperforming the X800 Pro; the GeForce 6800 again feels the lack of fast memory.

In the bottom tier, the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and 5900 are better than the RADEON 9800 XT in this test, while the GeForce FX 5700 Ultra is somewhat faster than the RADEON 9600 XT.
