We have already reviewed new Radeon HD graphics architecture before, but at that time we only took a closer look at the top Radeon HD 2900 XT model, while more mainstream solutions didn’t get covered because they were scheduled to start selling a little later. Finally, mass Radeon HD saw the light of day and today we are going to check out one of them: Radeon HD 2600 XT.
Performance in Third-Person 3D Shooters
Shooters with third-person view do not require as high a frame rate as first-person shooters do. As a rule, 35-45fps should suffice for comfortable play.
Hitman: Blood Money

Unfortunately, the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT GDDR4 cannot yield even 30fps in this game. The GeForce 8600 GT cannot do that, either. The latter card has a higher minimum of speed at low resolutions, but this doesn’t make it suitable for playing this game.
As for the GeForce 8600 GTS and the old Radeon X1950 Pro, both deliver comfortable frame rates at 1280x1024.
