The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The game loses much of its visual appeal without HDR. Although some gamers argue that point, we think TES IV looks best with enabled FP HDR and test it in this mode.

When you are playing indoors, the Radeon HD 2600 XT has good results, outperforming the GeForce 8600 GTS in terms of minimum speed thanks to its 120 shader processors. The game is playable with comfort, at least at 1280x1024.

The texture load is higher in open scenes and the Radeon HD 2600 XT falls behind the GeForce 8600 GTS. The gap grows up to 8%. And still the average speed remains rather high, and the gaming comfort is higher than with the Radeon X1950 Pro and somewhat higher than with the Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT, the market opponent to the new card from AMD.
