Well, we are resuming the discussion of VIA KT266 based products and their performance. Our testlab tested the firstmass mainboard on this chipset from MSI - K7T266 Pro. We compared its performance with that of other DDR mass boardsbased on AMD-760 and ALi MAGiK 1.

We managed to take a closer look at the first mainboards based on the new Socket A chipset from VIA supporting DDRSDRAM - VIA KT266. They are: EPoX EP-8KHA, Gigabyte GA-7VTX and Shuttle AK32. We have to admit that the verdictdoesn't sound very positive so far, since these are just preproduction samples. However, they give us a more orless clear idea of what the mass products will look like.
