It just protects the notebook against any possible damage during transportation. Unusually for ASUS, the accessories are rather scanty, without a bag or a mouse or anything. Besides the notebook proper, the box contains a 4400mAh battery (with two feet), a power adapter with a LED indicator, a modem cable (RJ-11), a TV cable (but the A6Rp lacks an S-Video port, so you’ve got nowhere to plug this cable into), documentation (Quick Installation Guide, 2-year warranty, list of authorized service centers worldwide, user manual, and Express Windows Vista Upgrade Program Guide), an ASUS cable brace, and a set of discs that includes:
