The notebook’s left panel carries the following components (from left to right):

  • 15-pin D-Sub connector
  • Two USB ports
  • Power connector for the external optical drive (the DVD-burner is connected with a special cable included into the kit)
  • Microphone connector
  • Headphones output

The notebook’s right panel offers the following:

  • Two USB ports
  • 4-pin IEEE1394 port (FireWire) marked as DV (i.e. for Digital Video equipment)
  • Slider to enable/disable the wireless interfaces

  • 26-pin ExpressCard/54 slot

  • LAN port (RJ-45)
  • Modem port (RJ-11)
  • Power connector

The WLAN On/Off slider is duplicated with the Fn+F2 key combination.
