Note that the doc station shipped together with the Fujitsu-Siemens LifeBook S7010 BT is equipped with the following connectors and ports:
- Lefthand view: power cable connector (if the laptop is connected to the doc-station, then the power cable is plugged into the doc-station connector, and not into the one on the notebook itself);
- Righthand view: Kensington lock hole, Mic-In jack, Headphones jack (all audio ports of the laptop become inactive once you attach the doc-station);
- Top view: power On/Off button on the right (lights up);
- Back view: four USB ports, PS/2 port for keyboard or mouse, 25-pin parallel port, D-Sub connector for an external monitor, digital DVI port (for the digital visual interface, connecting the laptop with other visual devices), serial port and an RJ-45 connector for the local network.

It is very convenient to use this doc-station in the office, because you don’t have to plug in and out all sorts of cables all the time, just this one doc-station. And in case you need to use your laptop on the road, you can always disconnect it, especially, since the laptop itself is not loaded with too many ports and connectors, unnecessary on a business trip. Of course, it positively affects its weight and size, which is important for a portable solution.
