The notebook’s left panel offers the following components (from left to right):
- Optical S-PDIF output

- Microphone input
- Headphones output
- Optical drive with an activity indicator, eject button and emergency ejection hole
- Kensington lock
The following is located on the right side of the notebook:
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- PC Card slot with an eject button (for one PC card of type I or II)

- Universal ExpressCard slot with an eject button
- 4-pin FireWire port
- AV input (to connect to analog video sources)

- S-Video input (the video signal from this input is used if both the AV and S-Video In ports are in use)
- TV-out port (S-Video) for connection to TV-sets
- HDMI connector for HD Video sources
- 15-pin D-Sub port to connect to an external monitor
- LAN port (RJ-45)

- Modem port (RJ-11)
The photographs show you that besides the traditionally hidden modem and LAN ports, the manufacturer also covered some other infrequently used connectors with a special shutter to make the notebook look neat and sleek.
