The Fastest Graphics Cards of Summer 2005: Ultimate Testing of 17 GPUs in 30 Games (page 25)Category: Video by Alexey Stepin , Yaroslav Lyssenko [ 09/09/2005 | 12:37 AM ] Vampires the Masquerade: Bloodlines
The game depends rather too much on the CPU performance. As soon as you go out into the streets, the frame rate goes down below 50-52fps whatever graphics subsystem you may have. The RADEON X700 PRO, RADEON X700 and GeForce 6600 cards are too weak to reach that speed ceiling.
The “eye candy” mode makes a better comparison possible, yet the performance of the topmost solutions is still the same, about 40-50fps. In 1600x1200, however, you can see that the RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition, RADEON X850 XT and RADEON X800 XL feel better in this game, the GeForce 7800 GTX being 3-5fps behind. We couldn’t observe any positive SLI effect, because of the game being too CPU-dependent. <%BANNER[banner_468x30]%>
