Call of Juarez

The new GeForce 9600 GT keeps up with the ATI Radeon HD 3870 even where the latter is traditionally strong. Moreover, Nvidia’s card delivers a better minimum speed. At high resolutions Nvidia’s old problem, the inefficient memory management due to driver flaws or the specifics of the memory controller, shows up and the ATI Radeon HD 3870 easily goes ahead.

The overall performance level is very low. The results have no real practical value.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

The Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT is as fast as the more expensive GeForce 8800 GT 512MB, showing a slightly lower minimum of speed. It delivers comfortable performance at resolutions up to 1600x1200/1680x1050 inclusive. The ATI Radeon HD 3870 cannot do the same as its minimum speed is below 25fps even at 1280x1024.
