Unreal Tournament 2003

This super-popular 3D shooter has nothing to do with Quake3, that is why the results obtained in it appeared absolutely different from what we have already seen above. When we tested the cards in Unreal Tournament 2003 we decided to use two most typical demos: Inferno and Antalus.

The new drivers definitely help NVIDIA products to retain their advantage: we haven’t seen the results that high before. RADEON 9800 PRO looks better than GeForce FX 5900, while RADEON 9800 XT yields a little bit to GeForce FX 5950 Ultra. In the mainstream segment the laurels belong to RADEON 9500 PRO and GeForce FX 5700 Ultra. Maybe ATI Technologies shouldn’t have given up the 8-pipeline architecture in the mainstream graphics solutions.
