Serious Sam: The Second Encounter

Well, today Serious Sam is probably performing in our roundup for the last time, and after that we will no longer use it as it has already become too outdated. So far, let’s check what has changed since the times when we used this game as a serious tool for contemporary graphics accelerators performance evaluation.

Wow, this is cool! 1.5-2 times higher performance of the NVIDIA solutions could hardly be left out. We repeated the tests a few times, just to make sure, but the results didn’t change. To tell the truth, it is pretty impressive how far ahead GeForce FX managed to get here. Of course, NVIDIA’s solutions have always felt at home in this game, but we have never expected them to feel so greatly at home, really! Nevertheless, we have to admit that NVIDIA is indisputable leader here: no one could even try to compete with the GeForce FX.
