The RADEON X800 family is less sparkling in Aquamark: the RADEON X800 XT races with the GeForce 6800 GT, while the RADEON X800 Pro mostly lags behind the GeForce 6800. The same goes for 8- and 4-pipeline GPUs: NVIDIA’s solutions are equal to or better than ATI’s ones.
Under a higher load, the RADEON X800 cards show their best – the RADEON X800 Pro competes with the GeForce 6800 GT and even with the Ultra! There’s no clear leader among the 8-pipeline cards: the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and the RADEON 9800 XT match each other. The RADEON 9600 XT wins in the lightweight category.
