Closer Look at Two HIS Radeon HD 4830 512MB Graphics Cards

Package and Accessories

Both cards are shipped in similar-looking medium-sized boxes. However, you are unlikely to confuse the card with the IceQ 4 cooler with the ordinary version:

There is a cutout in the back side of the box of the HIS Radeon HD 4830 IceQ 4 for you to take a look at the featured cooler. The basic card’s box is designed in a simpler way.

Both cards come with the same accessories. You will find the following in each box:

  • DVI → D-Sub adapter
  • DVI → HDTV adapter
  • 6 → 4-pin power cable
  • HIS holographic  logo sticker
  • CD disk with graphics card drivers
  • User’s manual and warranty sheet

The lack of CrossFire connectors is a serious drawback of each kit. You will have to look for and purchase such connectors separately if you want to build a CrossFire configuration out of these two cards from HIS. The lack of modern games is disappointing, too. And while this is normal for the basic HIS Radeon HD 4830 (it is an entry-level product after all), the IceQ 4 version might have come with a CrossFire connector as well as with some nice bonus like a game or a screwdriver.
