Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

S3 Graphics’ high-end offering S8 Nitro succeeds in showing off the best possible performance among the graphics cards participated in the test. We should remember, however, that the DeltaChrome S8 Nitro is positioned as a mainstream part and its rivals are the RADEON 9600 PRO or more powerful SKUs.

Even though the DeltaChrome S4 Pro scores 55fps in 1024x768, which is enough for gaming, from competitive standpoint the product looks pale, as it cannot outperform even with the GeForce FX 5600. For the sake of truth we need to remember that S3 advices to compare the S4 Pro to the GeForce 5200-series that is much slower compared to the FX 5600-series.
