Performance in First-Person Shooters:

Call of Duty

In the first game that uses pixel shaders for water surface the DeltaChrome S4 Pro appeared to be behind the rest graphics cards. The good thing is that you will still be able to play pretty comfortably in 1024x768, but performance you will get is still be much lower compared to the leading mainstream offerings that prepare to become entry-level chips shortly: the RADEON 9600 and the GeForce FX 5700.

Looks like S3 Graphics’ OpenGL driver still needs some more work, otherwise it is pretty hard to explain why the RADEON and the GeForce with 4 pixel pipes can outperform the DeltaChrome S8 Nitro with 8 rendering pipelines.
