RTCW: Enemy Territory

RTCW: Enemy Territory does not use pixel shaders at all, therefore, performance in the game largely depends on T&L emulation along with quality OpenGL driver rather than on anything else. As a result, NVIDIA’s GeForce FX 5700 and FX 5600 deliver the best speed possible among entry-level graphics cards. S3’s and ATI’s offerings, including DeltaChrome S4 Pro, are pretty fast in 1024x768 resolution, though, still much behind NVIDIA’s products.

Note that performance difference between the DeltaChrome S8 Nitro and S4 Pro is not that dramatic in this game. But stay tuned – we have got some more advanced benchmarks with loads of pixel and vertex shaders ahead!
