These days a review has to be a little better than this.

Try comparing WHQL NVIDIA drivers versus WHQL ATI drivers (ie: where they follow DX9). The FX runs too slow in DX9 tests.

-the FX WHQL drivers we were given are driver version 43.03.

Also compare Geforce 4 image quality to FX, NVIDIA has actually gone down a notch in their quality settings. Even out the settings and the Geforce 4 easily beats the FX products.

You need to do a little investigating. The Geforce 5200 is one of the worst products we have ever tested. The MX is a MUCH MUCH MUCH better product in both todays games and tomorrows. Please redo your analysis and save others from NVIDIA's marketing.

Yes, I have to disagree with the comment that even the 5600U is faster than the Ti4200 - its only faster because the IQ is lessened on the 5600U in 'Quality' (huh) mode as the fact that it is not doing Tirlinear is the case even without Anisotropic filtering in this mode. This, however, is not the case with previous GF4 products as there is no difference between 'Application' and 'Quality'

Unless the conclusion reads "by reducing overall IQ NVIDIA's new offering are faster than their previous generation" all of the conclusions and and performance numbers here are invalid.

"NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 Ultra proved just excellent here, having outperformed GeForce4 Ti4200-8x, and in 800x600 and 1024x768 it even surpassed ATI RADEON 9500 Pro"

You have to be joking. Why are you using a 9000 Pro and a 9500 Pro and not a 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro.

Would be a good review if you were testing with the top and lower end cards from ATI and Nvidia but you do not.

While all the other sites are reviewing the Radeon 9600 this site is wasting my time with this nvidia-payed crap.

Yes im on this Forum too Now (so watch out)

as far as i can see .. that nVidia has lost of now .. ATI should be crowened the new Kings (queens) of Vid Cards

Just as so many great Companys lose there rep and crowns from Creative Labs, 3DFX, IBM, Intel and now nVidia ..

In Vid Terms this isnt that good news ... its a whole different platform to have to move over to .. from the good old days of the 3DFX (voodoo to you young ones) to the TNT (what was a good transfer over) to the GeForce and now on to the ATI Radeon range.. a Big Jump for the Rubbish MAXX Card..

This is going to turn out like the CPU Wars with Intel and AMD both splitting off after the Super Socket 7 Dayz (thats a 586/686 kidds) in the dayz were every thing (well most things any way) fitted together.. and now what
MAC...AMD...Intel.. 3 types of computers this is going backwards back to the days of 8Bit (before some of you were born) C64 Vic20 Specy 464 MSX(ahh the farther cards)

with all this fighting with AMD Vs Intel and ATI Vs nVidia (SiS lol) the time will come for one to drop dead and the prices to grow.. but i guess when one does drop dead like with 3DFX another company will just buy up there tech and keep the race on .. with hope

nForce with this chipset being one of the platforms for the AMD64, it maybe speading nVidias Tech and it will lag ATI watch out dudes

Remember one thing in life .. if you cant beat them .. buy them ; )
