What about the Ati X800 and their flavours? I don't have one, but I'd like to see it for comparison.

Yes, and I agree with Puzzled that Doom 3 graphics didn't really provide the "wow" factor I thought it would have. I was very much impressed with Far Cry's visuals but, as for UT2004, I haven't tried so I can't comment.

Finally some one saying the game is not THAT great! I was thinking that I was the only disliking it's graphics... And if you think it's bad with "dark" graphics, image with brighter ones.

I think someone must write a game guide, even with an Ati 9700 and 512MB of RAM the game runs too slow on my system, there is ALOT of hard disk access during game play, surely slowing it, decreasing a lot the overall play experience.

Or the minimum 384MB that the game requires is only for the minimum detail setting?

Are you sure the game is asking for 512MB of graphics memory? When I saw that warning i thought it was asking for system memory.

Maybe the game is not very well "optimized".
I will wait for some patches and drivers, that maybe all that summed up give me some around 30% performance increase.

Despite id Software’s claims that the Ultra High Quality mode is only recommended for graphics cards with 256MB of memory, we were surprised to see the game running very smoothly on cards with 256 megabytes.

same medium screenies looks better than the high quality pic and then you guys compare the awesome (lol!!) nvidia 6800 ultra (wattage) with the poor 9500-9800 ati's LOL!!! just put one x800 in too and fake the result. it's a little to obvious now. got 2 6800 from nvidia for this? fine
