Well, you shouldn't be surprised as AMD still makes Socket A CPUs because it brings the money for the mainstream/affordable segment...Not everyone can afford an A64 CPU.

Right NOD!

I'd like a AMD 939 but the cheeper (if i can say so) cost 400$ :'( 3500+

I don't want to buy a 735 socket that i wouldn't be able to upgrade!

OR a socket A (Sepron or Athlon XP) that are just releasing their last models :-/

well Gian-Pa maybe for socket 745 AMD will launch in the future another Sempron ..3x00 ..anyway 3100 is for now an excelent option from AMD becouse the integrated memory controler offers great performance for about $130 ....
socket A remain only for cheap pc's ... and since Athlon xp is no longer produced then this sempron is good for socket a ....
