Would be nice to see a lowest end AMD64 in the lineup.

It would have been nice, if the used prices would reflect reality somehow. E.g. I can't find any offering for a Celeron D 335 on pricewatch lower than $111.

3.
Oops, I see the low end AMD64 and the Sempron 3100. My bad.

No overclocking results? :)
(Like to see how Celeron-D overclock and perform)

yea, those prices for the celerons seem a bit off, for the most part semperons are cheaper then celerons.

Actually WHY DO NOT TEST AT LEAST ONE FLAVOUR OF Celeron D WITH SINGLE CHANEL MEMORY ????????????????????

Sory boys, but MOST of Celerons run in single channel config(either with 845/848 or with 1 module on 865). I have not seen single benchmark that will shoe impact of single channel config on performance -> and I believe it is pretty big.

PLEASE add at least one such a score. It will be of a great value for many BFU's.

Also remember that Semprons run in single mode all the time, thereoff this in reality chnges situation the way that CelyD 340 compares barely to Sempron 2400+ if config is chosen badly.

Once again, the Paris core Sempron proves to be easily superior. Why anybody would buy anything else I can't guess. High performance, low cost, low transistor count (= lower power draw, heat, noise), with all the benefits of a s754 system. Dual channel memory and 64-bit computing are, for most tasks, much more hype than delivery.

y'all should plot all the processors available on a graph like the one on the last page

9.
Sempron has expensive motherboards while Celeron has cheap performance...

Smok: I call BS. Cheapest Socket T mobos are $100, while s754 hovers at about $80.

Oh, and Socket A is dirt cheap, of course.

Good read, but hey, page 2 you made a mistake there stating that the AMD Sempron series had "256MB of L2 Cache". Well it can be pretty obvious to us geeks =) who immediately check out the CPU-Z and have common knowledge but yeh ;)

In retrospect, smok, I see you may well have meant it the other way around and just mistyped. Sorry for jumping on it like that.

Yes Phil, I did mean it the other away around. Sorry to those who saw the wrong information.

Wow, it is no secret on the net that the "celeron" is not only a non Performing CPU...but go ahead and throw in the fact that this cow gets really HOT makes this CPU the CPU NOT to buy. Look at the prices...they are dropping like rocks as the bastards at Intell try to pawn off this "work of art" on all the unsuspecting nOObs. Also Article writers who have alternative reasons rather than there readers interest at heart seem not to mention this little "FACT" of over heating.....Hmmmmm wonder why.

My humble opinion...;)

Well... my sempron 2600+ is an awsome cpu, and it overclocked awsome. i have it running at 3400+ without v-core changes. and it is only about 5 degrees hotter. celcius. For budget cpu, this is very good. i'd like to see a celeron do that. GO AMD

It doesn't matter what all you people say, when it comes right down to it the amd sempron leaves the celeron in the dust.....put 2 computer's next to each other with same specs but celeron and sempron processers, you'll see that the sempron outperforms the celeron in every aspect, and very well that is.

I'm not a professional, but I can see a hard work here...

You help me to decide what processor buy depending my particular needs.

I hope I can find here a special key always...

Best Regards.
