So much for the talk of "well when the memory hits a speed we find useful..." More like, "when we can actually get it to work and can implement it", which with AMD is almost always at least 1 year behind when they say they are "definitely coming out with it in month xx"

They've got a great chip but they've never yet managed to cure the delay factor in getting stuff out when they say they will.

I'm running DDR2 @ 3 2 2 latencies...

2 1gb sticks as well something else that DDR1 can't do at speed


But of course you are right in that the A64 doesn't have nearly as good a showing when the memory latency goes up. Still seems to me there are plenty of 533 parts at 3 3 3 and that certainly seems a viable use for AMD cpus. Oh well. It's not to be, and I guess that is that.
