1. I still don't see any noise, heat or power consumption comparisons, which, in many user's opinions, will be much more important factors than performance alone...

2. Agreed! (hey jake from SPCR) If you are buying a laptop drive, noise , power consumption and thus heat, are very important factors, usually more important than performance.

Haha, hi gitto from SPCR. Indeed, I'm on SPCR, but you're probably thinking of the "other" Jake - I am "jake_westmorley" on SPCR cos "Jake" had already been taken :-(
Anyway, it's a small world when it comes to 2.5" hdd's ;-P

3. What a waste of time. 40GB drives may have been of use ohhhh about 2 years ago!!!
