If Intel was smart the EE would carry only a 30-40% markup from the highest smithfield @ 530, making it 689 to 742. People will remember that these are Prescott cores and at lower speeds they aren't goign to be amazing on tasks which aren't multithreaded. For Intel, that cpu is a face saving measure, and the chance to recover themselves with enthusiasts, something I don't believe they should treat lightly.

Speaking of which, let's hope there are no more locks on the 945/955. For even tose who don't overclock, that created a negative enthusiast image in the chipsets that went a long way into the pathetic sales of the 925 series. Perhaps they should take a hint there. With Nvidia about to produce a competing chipset, they would be wise to do away with the locks, and just keep the rock solid stability image and enthusiast backing.
