Good review, but the x700 pro ain't exactly worth buying, the 6600 GT usually rips through it.

Also, I am really wondering why there was no reviews for nearly 2 months, it was quite dissapointing really.

Oh and another thing, a x800XL/x800(vanilla) benchmark would be really nice to see!

Hi
Why Intel to your "standard PCI Express platform" ? Isn't A64 best gaming platform ?
For reviewing graphics cards is good to use best possible platfom, i think...

The Half-Life 2 tests should be not be used in video card benchmarks. There have been evidence to prove that Valve had forced GeForce hardware to run 24-bit shader instructions in 32-bit mode even though using 16-bit mode will work just as well[1]. Given GeForce 6 cards hits bandwidth limitation at high image quality settings, Xbitlabs should test GeForce cards running in FP16 mode when Half-Life 2 is used.

Did you measure energy consumption for the X700. Your earlier article was very useful for us silent types, it would be good if you could add energy consumption to your standard review method.
