1.
Too much irrelevant data - and read the EAC help.
"Caching" in EAC kind of means that the drive caches audio data without reference to the physical disc position!
And stop stuffing dozens of irrelevant diagrams into your tests. e.g. inner/outer transfer speed for all disc types should go to a table, while for benchmarking 2 typical cd types, e.g. one 100-120 MB boot/os cd and one full (game, dictionary cd) would suffice.
I also think most people dont care much about load/eject time, as recognition time is what counts.
For a dvd-writer test, how can you fill 13 or so pages with reading/audio extracting stuff, and only 2 with writing DVDs? How can you do PIE/PIF testing on one of the tested drives instead of using some known-good (e.g. Plextor ,BenQ) drive. What about different media types? You burnt one CD-RW and one DVD+RW? Hope it was a new one for each drive, of the same batch. Not? Your writing tests therefore are worth nothing. There are at least 6 types of media, excl DVD-RAM for the LG, so what does your writing test say?
I regard this test as highly irrelevant, as not even basic "scientific" benchmarking rules have been obeyes. And to recommend the Sony without even testing writing DVD+R/-R is just ridiculous.
I linked your test to cdfreaks.com for a good laugh there :)
