will be nice to test overclocking of any there cheap Sapphire Radeon 9100 128MB cards. Their memory seems to have potencial, but the core not and using unsynchronized frequencies cause problems...

Yeah, really cool! i've got a radeon 8500 to (sapphire, 64mb 3.5ns ram).
tried to overclock it, but i wasn't really sucessfull. i got the core up to 300MHz stable with the original heatsink plus the small fan. then i tried to boost the ram to. but in spite of the high ram quality the i only got it up to 280MHz without causing artefacts. so i think i'll try the vold mod. with a watercooled core it should go up to at least 310MHz core and 320MHz RAM frequenzy.

by the way: how did you sticked the heavy orb to the core?

don't love about some mistakes i could have written. i'm german and so english is not my mother's language. but all in all it should be okay for a 14 year old guy. :-)

Did anybody try this vmod with 9100/8500LE cards? I have Hercules Radeon 9100 card and it has great overclocking capability. Without any changes core is running stable at 300Mhz (maybe more, I didn`t try) with the original cooler and ram is working stable at 550Mhz without heatsinks and 580Mhz with 4 big heatsinks. Standard values are 250Mhz for core and 480Mhz for ram (hynix 4ns) and I still wont to put bar up much higher (some people have these cards running at 300/600 without changes! :) and I`m going to try this vmod but hercules seems to be a bit different :(

Now if we can only raise the pixel shader to version 3 on the 8500, we would be setup for these new requirements that games are requesting for.
