1. I don't think this is a presale version. I have got the top edition and it doesn't include the orange cdbox and cables either.
Also, my card has some kind of projection on the heatsink, a white square above the gpu (unremovable without tools, doesn't look like coolpasta).
The heatsink is very ineffecient, my gpu goes over 80°C while gaming (placing another 80mm fan under it without the plastic casing and standard fan doesn't help, so it is the heatsink). I clock it down from 520-1100 to 455-1090 with Gainward's Experttool (can also be used to slow down fan in 2dmode for example).
Btw, I've seen some normal GT versions where the memory could reach 1300 without problems.

2. Please could you tell me which is the better card the x850xt or nvidia 7800
