... I'd get one in a second, IF it had the ability to output a DVD to your tv. I wouldn't think it would be all that hard to do, I've seen video cameras that have a special 1/8" phono jack with L & R audio and Composite video outputs on one plug (even my digital camera has that actually). When I see that on a walkman of this size, I won't hesitate to buy it.

what is missing is the format for ogg vorbis. This would be the last piece in the puzzle to make it perfekt. Audio and mobility means ogg vorbis. Especialy with a dvd rom drive. the german audiobook scene deserves such a device ! ;)

I couldn't agree more with Chessman.

What good is a battery powered portable
DVD if it can't be connected to a portable
projector of less than 3 lbs without
lugging a computer and all the extranious
cables?

Unfortunately, I cannot find any other
portable DVD/CD-R combo with USB port
that does not require AC power.

And the article did not even mention no
video output socket.

What is wrong with these manufacturers?
Do we always have to wait 10 years before
they finally sell what we've known they
could make all along?

I agree with alot wittry said, I do not find the drive integrates properly with windows 2000, for one I tried it on an IBM X31 this week and I could only play audio CDs when I installed the proprietry B's whatever software, no winamp or otherwise. Actually I think it only works when you have selected CD's use digital playback.

Apart from this it is a very cool drive, built in power is great, would have been better if it could write to DVD, better if you could plug it directly to e.g. s-video or even just regular video without going through a PC to do so.

The drive does not do very well with the B's CLip to use UDF/Windows file integration... spoils disks sometimes... I really wish these vendors would get their act together before a product is on the market.

This devise was worth every penny, it is competely plug and play, and you can burn mp3's onto DVDs (using a dvd burner) and EACH DISC holds as more than an ipod mini. Plus since it looks like a cd walkman it is alot less likly o get stolen than other mp3 players.

I've been searching for this forEVER! Where might I locate something comparable? In fact, I don't burn DVDs w/ my laptop, I just wanted to be able to buy CDs. I rodeo and show Palominos, so I travel a lot, thought it might be nice to have my own CDs.
Would it be possible for someone to email me @:

Many thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!
