Many years ago when I built my first computer with a 200MHz Pentium there was a mainboard by ASKA with 1 MB Level 2 cache which would outperform respectable brands because they would have only 512 K maximum on board.. Some famous makers of PCs would even use much less or even no L2 cache resulting in a Pentium PC with a worse performance than DX2 66MHz...It was about time the cpu/chipset producers start giving/selling what was there all the time .... instead of selling MHz.
