If I have a DVD-R/CR-RW writer in my system and I added a DVD-CD_RW writer into my stystem, when I want to make a DVD dfisc, will it recognize my DVD writer-Pioneer ? If I hhad a DVD-ROM/CD-Writer drive, which writer would either Nero or EZCD6 use to make a cdr ? Can this be controlled ?

Let's get one thing clear here. The SM348 is 48x model and the SM352 is 52x.
It makes wonder did he actually test it at all, since he got the model all messed up.

According to the photo, you have tested SM-348B with T504 firmware - It has no Mt.Rainier support with this fw. T506 firmware added Mt.Rainier support to this drive.

XBITLABS is a joke! Whoever wrote this review is a bonehead! I would love to hear from him regarding the 48x model vs his 52x results, if he dares. This is some classic basement operations that we have here.

We have bought a unit with the description : LG GCC- 4520B - combo cd-rw/dvd-rom drives . We are now looking for a drive in order to install this.
