what about SATA drives?

sorry; by which i mean i read somewhere that the reason the SATA Maxtors were faster than their PATA counterpart is because they ALREADY use 80gb platters?

If not, do you know if/when the SATA drives will incorporate the bigger 80gb platters (perhaps they are in the same situation as the PATA drives i.e. they are only just beginning to use them too?) Furthermore, any idea of the situation with the SATA Maxtors and the new firmware?

Kind Regards

Of course, SATA drives move to 80GB/Pl as well as PATA do. We'll retest a newer one as soon as recieve it in our hands :)

Maxtor often changes firmwares, but reported version stays the same.
