I mean it is not in the table of content (2 and 23).

3. It is a good idea to perform some mathematical task to prove that narrowness of the Hyper Transport in new chipset will considerably affect the CPU performance. :)

4. I have bought this A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo and before I had A8N-SLI Deluxe.
This mobo is more stable in the RAM configuration.
For example my system (A8N) was unstable with my RAM (4Dimms x512 Corsair XMS3200XL) in 2-2-2-5 timings and needed to set up in 2-3-2-5 for better stability.
This Mobo(A8N32) is stable with 4dimms and 2-2-2-5 timings.

Now, about the Bios Settings.
K8 to NB: Works right in x5(1000) and 16up and 16down. I didn't understunt why in the review said that CPU to NB comunication is 8bit.

It will be good to notice that this mobo isn't faster for this time but.... If we have 2x 7800GTX 512MB or better in the future?

5. Poor review, very poor. No, I do not mean content, but the lack of sensibility. Almost all benchmark shows that this mb sux comparing to the older one. And what you say about it in pros and cons? "Beautiful appearance" :-) And what about overclocking? If it's really an enthusiast mobo, it should have high overclockability. You didn't test that. And how do we suppose to know that from this review? It almost feels, that this article was just simply a commerial review. As for now, Asus is not the top-end mb maker. Most of enthusiast prefer DFI or Epox.

P.S. Remove "Supports a number of ASUS’ exclusive technologies" It is so amateurish.

6. "To ensure high-speed communication between the chipset’s North and South bridges, NVIDIA had to reduce the width of the HyperTransport bus the chipset connects to the CPU with and to use two 8-bit channels instead of the ordinary nForce4’s two 16-bit channels there."
Are you sure this is not a BIOS setting? I think you can change it to 16-bit. see http://www.amdzone.com/pics/motherboards/asus/a8n32-sli%20deluxe/sbtonblinkwidth.jpg

7. What's with this BS about "narrow HyperTransport"???

They come 16up 16 down straight out of the box. Even the Nvidia website lists both the SLI and SLI X16 as being "16x16" on their tech specs page.

8. I had that board, didn't liked it.
no place for pci-cards, if one has a 2-slot-videoadapter like 7800gtx512xxx.
I have a soundcard,
w-lan and a tv-card. Room only for two.
impossibel to flash bios.
asus update didn't work.

gave it back.

9. Sorry did I miss something? Where does it say the the nForce4 SLI x16 is limited to 8-bit between the CPU and Chipset?

10. @ elias ...

I used the A8N sli deluxe before with the same RAM as Yours. Was very instable.
Then I changed to Premium and all worked fine and stable with timings 2225 1T. 3800+ E6, 2x512 CorsairXMS3200XL, XFX 7800GTXXX.
Now the Premium is a good choice I think, because yesterday Asustek lists a lot more prozessors of amd E4 revision.
the A8N 32 was about 200 3d2005 faster, 9700 everything default, but not flashable either alt+F2 nor asus update.
Went back to Premium without any probs.

11. I just don't understand why you're saying that the CPU to Northbridge hypertransport link is operating in 8 bit mode, thus being a bottleneck... To my knowledge you can configure it to be 16 bit wide...

The only evident bottleneck (if you want to call it that way) is the northbridge to soutbridge hypertransport link that is imposing a small delay when communicating with the second PCIe 16x slot.

14. Excellent for those of us trying to build a new computer. Had all the information I needed and helped make my decision, especially because the other board I was looking at it reviewed on this site too.

15. Beautiful Board, Once the North/Sounth bridge is set to 16bit, and a few bugs in the bios updated. All works well. I dunno what you're talking about, the abit bios update works fine for me. 9/10

16. Hello,
This article is just beyond expectations of just about any discerning PC lover:-)
However, My one month of searching through the Internet did not lead me to any offer or a solution to set the overclocking on A8N32 deluxe... funny because a chap like myself would want to overclock using somebody experience and just have values offered to type in bios in order to have it "over and done with"....all of you guys write pages on overclocking but none of you actually offer specific figures to implement... It is not convincing that all of us have different set ups.. That is crap... if it is not... why not offer say 3 set ups low, high and say "the risky one"?Why this has to be a witchcraft known to few?
Regards
Henry
