Any idea why they have a motherboard for 16GB of memory for a processor that sees 4GB? Will the Sossaman have the weird Xeon 36-bit addressing? Must be, right?
I saw an article a few days ago that reveled a few hidden features in yonah. Apparently 64bit is there, as well as virtualization and such, but is turned off. Since Sossaman is just a server version of Yonah, Id imagin theyre turning on these features for the server version. Ill post back if I recall the article.
Hexus is wrong. Sossaman does not supports EM64T. It is impossible by CPU architecture. Sossaman only supports Phisical Address Extension which allow works with more than 4GB in 32-bit mode (with performance drop).
