1. Does no one remember that AMD licensed Rambus memory tech that allow the same silicon to access DDR/DDR2/DDR3?

2. "There are high possibilities that AMD’s chips in AM2 form-factor will support DDR3."

So, this could be the answer to slightly increased performance in DDR2?

And as commented above the rambus tech allowing access to different types of memory(?) will make things pretty clear.

3. Since when is the AM2 the next generation? Does anyone here have a clue? It's still the K8, in fact it's a barely changed K8. It's the same generation.

I thought it was pretty well expected that AMD would release this processor with DDR2/800 support, and this was the reason for the delay (and the fact DDR is faster than AM2 using 667). This just validates what everyone should have already known.
