Xbitlabs gains no more respect from me
i always liked this site until now
go to other reviewsites and look at the scores, the x1900xtx is much better than showed here
tis is just pure BS
this is the same that tomshardware does with intel
this site is permanently banned from my favorites

So... could you care to check Ati's site (or any other hardware site for that matter) to know that it IS possible to enable HDR and AA at the same time in oblivion? and with far better performance too, the G71 can only compete with AA while ati still gives more FPS with AA AND HDR enable.

Xbit has now been deleted from my favarites. Why review the card if you are going to skew the benchmarks. Can't trust nothing on the web these days.

I felt it was a good review overall. I never found the Toxic X1900XTX to be particularly impressive over the regular X1900XTX anyways. I'd be much more interested in the HIS IceQ3 X1900XTX.

I found some of the scores different too, but I'm not sure why people constantly come to the comment section just to say they will never return. I always look at multiple websites anyways so I don't understand how people can get so worked up. With a large enough sample size the biases will cancel out. The truth is always somewhere in between anyways.

"This game was not tested in the “eye candy” mode because its HDR support is automatically disabled even on ATI’s Radeon X1000 cards on turning on FSAA; the graphics quality without HDR is much poorer."

Are you guys ever going to use the Chuck hotfix? You use Catalyst 6.3 from what I've seen, why not simply download the bloody hotfix instead of pandering to Nvidia fanboys?

Hi,

I thought the review was fine, although lacking in some interesting details - that have already been mentioned.

I bought one of these cards, but recently had to send it back after it leaked it's coolant all over one of my hard drives. I think the pump was dodgy, as the whole device was a little noiser than I'd have expected (the whole thing was louder than my old X800 GTO2 - which I thought odd) and perhaps faulty "out of the box".

I'll wait for my replacement and hope I have more luck with that, although I must admit, my worst fears of water cooling have not been dampened by Sapphire, who up until this point I had a lot of faith in.
