What a waste of money. I was expecting to see scores of 50% higher than SLI and CF. Either Q-Sli is hindered by the CPU or nVidia's drivers that are extremely inefficient.

strange..but that glitch in half-life 2...I get that in counter-strike source on my radeon X300, but only when i minimze the game while loading a map. Otherwise i'm fine. so it's not just Quad-SLI

tomshardware has tested a quad-sli system from falcon-northwest
but they didnt run into any ingame crashes or artifacts

So let me get this straight, Nvidia have released what is presumably the most expensive consumer graphics system in recent times and it doesn't work properly with ANY software? I wish I could listen in to the technical support calls about this one!

Why have they produced a top dollar product with work-in-progress drivers? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

I would like to see how this performs verses the other cards when playing AAO (America's Army Operations). AAO is extremely graphic intensive and certainly would be a good 1st person game to run tests with. Considering that there are close to 5 million registered users for the game, you could probably get some good attention from whatever reviews of the game you get from running it with this card.

Thanks for your indepth analysis. Reading all of the other articles on Quad SLI that have been out since May 2005, yours nails it on the head and gives many of us high end, do it yourself, end users something to think about. I am currently an SLI user myself, thinking about Crossfire, but will probably wait till next year to see the latest and greatest thing or wait till NVidia gets there SLI Quad act together. Thanks again for your great articles.

And suddenly... I'm tempted to stray from NVidia... I do believe I want an ATI card for the first time. Thanks X-bit, you've shown me that throwing in hardware ontop of more hardware then supercharging it doesn't always make it better... Working out the little details like bug-testing is what really matters.
I'm gonna make my next system a Crossfire system.

yeah ... really disappointed with the results made by Quad-SLI of 7950 and 7900. Anyway ... the now technology is still a big field for us to research on. We can't really expect really high performance. no matter it's CF or SLI, i think both did their job well. i think most will disagree with me. unless someone found a new element and made a new architecture, the technology is still not that good as we really expected. bare in mind that running a game long can really stress the GPUs, thus performance will drop.
