Hey, a diverse group of products tested! Talk to the DVD burner reviewer, Nikita, and tell him how it's done!

Your rant on Intel may have been amusing if it weren't for the fact that Intel always promised RAID1 in an upcoming BIOS revision...now you sort of look a little self-righteous.

Promise's distinguishing feature is its PCB??? Ummm, just so you know, the competitors are also lame-a$$ green like the past 20 years of PCBs.

Sorry to complain so much but I'm still sour over the DVD Burner review.

Hi,

nice article but what's kinda missing is the CPU load. There's no point in having hundreds of megs of throughput with your SW-RAID if you can't do anything else on the system...
So this would've been the ideal test to compare the HW-RAID with modern SW-RAID :-)

Can you convert any Sil3112 based S-ATA Controller card into a RAID version?
I assume you will have to get a ref. build to get started with.
