As I predicted some years ago, the demise of desktop hard drives is arriving sooner than expected! I think it was helped along quite a lot by the advent of cheaper digital cameras. Soon we will be able to carry our 40Gig USB memory around on a keyring or chain around the neck, secure in the knowledge that your computer is inaccesible without it! Stealing a laptop will become worthless as it will be digitally compared to its drive and without it becomes inoperable. Just think of the possibilities and endless combinations of application, as long as they come up with some pretty sensible standards and apply them accordingly! How about Computer to laptop to mobile to car control to camera etc etc, Oh please hurry up and get the prices down!

What type of PQI memory is used here? The regular kind or the F1 with the speed marked as 40x?

I have PQI 512MB F1 ( declared 6MB read, 5MB write). But at test, speed shown as cca 2.3MB both read and write through PQI USB2.0 card reader. Has anybody idea what wrong ? Card reader ? Flash card ? Drivers ? ( I have W2k).
